Headwraps

Did you know that in antebellum times Black women were not allowed to show their hair in public? I have my suspicions why.... If "massa" was dipping and dabbing in slave quarters his children wont have the same texture hair as their African mothers. And "missy" ain't wanna see that... Also.... in certain locations where some people of color (POC) were free, forcing POC's to cover their hair designated them as Black when they could pass otherwise.
Nowadays, you will not find older Black women in church who go to meet Jesus bareheaded. It's part of our culture!
Anywho.... I'm an individual who wears their head covered when I leave the house. I choose to honor my enslaved ancestors but also because headwraps provide levels of spiritual protection.
On the top of everyone's head there sits a spirit. That spirit may or may not be vulnerable to external forces. I'm VERY empathic. I cover my head so as not to be affected by other people's energy as much. I also have a taboo on my hair. If anyone touches my hair, they fall into bad luck. Doesn't matter I pay them or not.
How can you know if you are subject to external spiritual energy on your head? Easy! Start wearing your head covered to see if there are changes.
Now folks will say, "I can't wear headwraps to my job." Or something to that degree... Well... no. I started wrapping my hair in 2003. I had a corporate job back then. Yes, there were some looks, but that's all it was. When someone finally asked me about why I was wrapping my head, I told them it was for religious reasons. Had I decided to become Muslim, there wouldn't have been anything they could say or do legally. There wasn't anymore they could say to me. I didn't say anymore than it was for "religious reasons." I didn't explain any further. And that was that. Another thing that helped was I made sure that my wrap was tidy and matched my outfits. I must have 100 or more wraps. And you need to be CONSISTENT. You can't wear a wrap to work one day and not the next day. Especially in a corporate environment.
As always.... I'm a business. So... if you need headwraps... or help in wrapping your head... hit me up! I can take custom orders and I ship!
